Garbatrage {Also known as Rumourage}

This term is not included in any standard dictionary (even Google got hard time finding this ;) ). This term can be said as a slang or rare word of finance, but it's actual meaning has been covered here in this blog.

• When there is an upside down in a particular sector due to some big news of a company associated with that sector, then this change in mindsets of Investors for the whole sector is known as Garbatrage. 

FOR Example,

When there was a merger of Vodafone and Idea due to the penetrating entrance of a Cash rich Player - Jio, there was garbatrage in investors mind that more and more companies will move towards the merger to hold their survival in the market good and due to which the whole telecom sector got adversely affected.
