As soon as I observed that so many people are troubling due to the typical way of enabling/disabling the function keys in hp laptops and other new laptop models, so I thought of finding out the simplest way so that everyone can easily tweak the function key as per their needs.

Basically, in most of the laptops(Except Hp Laptops), we can enable/disable the function keys just by clicking

But if this doesn’t work for your system here is the best solution to resolve it.

So follow these steps to enable/disable the fn key in the simplest way:

Step1:-  Shut Down your system/ if already off then once start your system and shut down (Recommended)

  • Enabled: Using the action keys printed on function keys(Ex: Brightness, volume, airplane mode without pressing fn key together.
  • Disabled: for using the action keys you have to press the fn key together with function keys.

Step4:- Now select the option you prefer and press the enter key, then press  F10 key to open the “save changes and exit” dialogue box and press enter to save the changes and restart your system.
