Budget 2021 : When, Where and How?

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget 2021 tomorrow in the Parliament. There has been lot of buzz ince it comes at a time when the country is facing a once-in-a-lifetime health crisis. 

The Finance Minister has raised hopes, going into the Budget event, by stating that it will "be a Budget like never before."

Budget 2021 will go paperless as the Finance Ministry has decided not to print the budget documents amid the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be for the first time in the history of independent India that the budget 2021 papers will not be printed.

Date and Timings : 

Union Budget 2021 is scheduled to be presented in Parliament on February 1, 2021. Budget speech usually starts at 11:00 AM. FM will present the budget in the parliament.

Where to watch :

Union Budget 2021 will be live telecasted on national television channels such as Doordarshan, Lok Sabha TV, Rajya Sabha TV.

FM had also recently launched the ‘Union Budget Mobile App’ for hassle-free access of Budget documents by MPs and the general public. The new mobile budget app called 'Union Budget' facilitates complete access to 14 Union Budget documents, including the Annual Financial Statement (commonly known as Budget), Demand for Grants (DG), Finance Bill etc. as prescribed by the Constitution.
